This process differs from hard anodising in that the electrolyte temperature is higher and the current density employed is lower. The thinnest films stopping aluminium blackening the hands when handled, the thickest offering substantial corrosion resistance and electrical insulation without the loss of fatigue strength that can accompany hard anodising. As the name suggests the main purpose of this process is to provide a pleasing appearance to various components and covers a wide range of products. The anodising process provides a method of electrolytically increasing the thickness of the naturally occurring oxide film on aluminium and its alloys, to give a coating which may be considered in many ways analogous to the case hardening of steel.
It is distinguished from 'decorative' or 'architectural' anodising in that the process is operated in a manner, which gives optimum technical properties without regard to aesthetic effect thus, the coatings may be grey or tinged with yellow or brown, according to the alloy and coating thickness. Hard anodising produces darker coatings than the normal 'decorative' process, but the exact shade depends upon the coating thickness which for hard anodising is 50 Microns and the type of alloy used will directly effect the thickness and shade of the component

In all applications, Gear Cote provides extraordinary lubrication and corrosion protection for all major moving parts. A combination of products such as Gear Cote and Gun Cote will yield extraordinary results in lofty performance horsepower engines. Pistons, to eliminate friction and to bear better lubricity when old with oil. Gun Cote is a thin firm coating that will donate excellent protection from abrasion.
Reduce wear and heat on springs thereby increasing valve life and increases performance. Slim film protective coatings have been available for many years but with today’s technology they have become more effective. The Oil Drip Mat can be impaired for Automotive, Motorcycles, Gun Repair, Machine Shops, Aircraft and many other industries or as a toolbox liner. Immune to chemicals, oils and solvents normal to Automotive, Aircraft, Motorcycles and Marine Industries.
For greatest performance gains, a combination of the coatings plus the additives and sprays can be used. For example, this company could have coated the gears with Gear Cote and experienced further performance gains. Coatings have become a standard source of performance gains, increased portion protection and increased production for virtually all professional race teams, engine builders, conveyor line maintenance departments, and gunsmiths reaching across many industries including Automotive, Aircraft, Firearms, Boating, Motorcycles, Oil Drilling, Food and Industrial. In Product automotive motorcycle applications Gear Cote will provide reduced friction.
Formulated with Graphite and Molybdenum, KG AL will produce outstanding lubrication under extreme heat and pressure
