Marlborough Knowing and Connected is an economic development programmed designed to encourage leadership within industries and communities to aid support collaborative opportunities within each. Colin founded Business Lab in 200 with the vision of developing a planning approach that simplifies this often intricate task while making it more effective and enjoyable for those involved. We’ve helped establish numerous bids in Auckland, and in we supported the Auckland Council to carry out a stuffed review of its BID Partnership programmed and BID Policy. The Business Lab team has been extensively involved in community expansive planning initiatives that empower local communities to create a better future.
As with all our work, a critical element of the project was ensuring a collaborative and engaging approach, with input being ambitious by the suitable communities and people involved all of whom have invested in shaping the future of Papakura in one way or another. Our recent projects include establishing Business Improvement Districts in Mira mar and Kilbirnie in Wellington, and Blenheim in Marlborough as healthy as work to design and deliver a number of coming focused community planning initiatives in Marlborough Scholarly and Connected, Queens town Lakes Shaping our Future, and Nelson Framing our Future. Having supported over 35 bids and business associations since 2006 with effective collaborative planning, we understand the special complexities of store based, business membership organizations not to mention the challenges of their unique mufti stakeholder environment. There’s been really appropriate feedback from the process and some good progress including a authentic win on the fresh waste water system in Glenorchy as a result of the Steering Group’s recommendations to council from the Task Force’s work.
Playcentre has provided a cherished service to Fresh Zealand families and communities since 1941 and currently has 489 centers across New Zealand. Supported by Marlborough District Council, each community and industry are taken through a potent process of engagement which results in shared opportunities being captured in Smart and Connected implementation plan. Business Lab worked through an extensive Strategic Plan process for the Papakura Business Association. We've helped over 35 Business Improvement Districts from Auckland to Blenheim develop strategic plans that work.
