Clarkson Electrical was formed in 1997 by Terry Clarkson, Clarksons is a family owned and operated business based on key family principals. With Head Office in Auckland and branches Nationwide, our business employs 100 staff and engages over 30independent contractors throughout New Zealand.
We offer you 24 hour a day, 7 days a week nationwide service which means if there is an emergency or breakdown any time of the day or night we can be there on site to minimize any business interruption or downtime. Clarksons focuses on giving the benefit of an experienced team of managers, supervisors, electricians and istrators who ensure they are consistently on target. We invest considerable time and resources in training and development of our staff, our apprentices and contractors we pay particular attention to Health Safety, Site Audits and New Technology
He worked for Dickson Grey Electrical for 30 years in a variety of roles including Electrician, Service Manager and Contracts Manager. We have been successfully audited by ABC Workplace Safety and have confront tertiary smooth requirements for Health Safety policies and practices.
Initially Jeff was the Field Manager managing the sites in the South Island, then later became the Operations' Manager managing the NZ based Field Managers. Since joining Clark son Electrical in 1997 he has progressed from a Registered Electrician, Contracts Manager, Operations Manager and to the role of General Manager. Jeff then spent 3 years active for EC Group as the South Island Service Manager prior moving back to the electrical industry with his role at Clark sons. We have an extensive Health Safety policy, it all comes down to three words Nobody Gets Hurt.

He has been involved in a wide range of positions from Registered Electrician, Chief Electrician, Branch Manager, and General Manager. Jeff completed his electricians apprenticeship at the Marlborough Electric Power Board and once capable moved to Wellington to receive up a role as an electrician firstly at the Ministry Of Works and then at Harding Electrical prior moving to London for 4 years busy in various temping electrical jobs.
All Clark son Electrical staff, contractors and sub contractors who preform labor on Exxon Mobil sites have received comprehensive yellow card training. In 2003 Craig joined Clark son’s Electrical initially as the Switch Board Supervisor overseeing the design, manufacture and installation of commercial switchboards. Clark son Electrical produces a quarterly safety newsletter Safe Talk to update and inform staff and contractors of safety alerts, new standards, and legislation and safety practices. Goff joined Clark son Electrical in 2008 and has had different management roles within the company since, he now looks after IT and Asset Management.
Since David was promoted to General Manager Terry has become the Technical Expert in the business, and has an unfold door policy for staff and customers of Clark son’s. Being a Site Sound member ensures all our staff are trained on site safety this means we don’t compromise on the safety of our staff, our customers and the public. His breadth of experience is of vast benefit to our staff having previously had technical expertise in general Electrical, Risky Areas and Air conditioning. He was very quickly promoted to Contracts Manager to oversee important projects for Clark sons including Drinkrow Industrial Estates.
As healthy as family interests, Goff is actively involved in speedway as a crew chief of a Splendid Saloon
