Engineers Without Borders New Zealand is a member based not for profit organisation with the aim of creating systemic change through humanitarian engineering. EWBNZ members are professionals and students who share a vision to confront global challenges of poverty, sustainable development, and social inequity. EWBNZ works to make a difference for communities within New Zealand and in the South Pacific, and partners with other EWBs internationally to achieve global impact. EWBNZ undertakes programmes that improve the quality of life in communities within New Zealand and in the South Pacific region and provides educational and development opportunities for members and communities to become more socially aware, engaged, and empowered to effect positive change

EWBNZ works to make a difference for communities within New Zealand and in the South Pacific, and partners with other ebbs internationally to accomplish global impact.
EWBNZ undertakes programmed that improve the quality of life in communities within Fresh Zealand and in the South Pacific region and provides educational and development opportunities for members and communities to become more socially aware, engaged, and empowered to effect sure change. The project management and problem solving experience I was able to get in a really difficult environment have been invaluable to my labor as a project engineer for Hamilton City Council. Matt was one of ebb's professional volunteer engineers who helped manage the WAWAN project. We have three main areas of focus Learning and Change, Leadership and Training, and Busy with Communities.
The ebb Resist is a design program for primary year university students coordinated by the International ebb Resist team and delivered in partnership with universities around the world. We have six chapters around Fresh Zealand which aim to produce engagement opportunities and a local community of people who trust in what EWBNZ does!. Fresh ebb volunteer placement We're excited to announce that our project in collaboration with Live and Learn, focused on sanitation in difficult environments, has found a placement volunteer. EWBNZ aims to bear unparalleled direct engagement opportunities for our members in significant learning and change programmed. Our Technical Urge Hub links our volunteers with NZ based engineering professional volunteers for technical assistance on our projects and placements. Engineers Without Borders New Zealand formed a partnership with Live and Learn in 2014.
Through these programmed, we bear opportunities to learn about sustainable human development, build a culture of active learning, and reflection within our operations and those of our partners, as well as providing pathways for individuals to become humanitarian engineers. By becoming an EWBNZ member you play an essential role in supporting programmed in the communities that we work with in NZ and the South Pacific. This includes our international placements, research projects, ebb in Schools programmed and our work with universities. EWBNZ are working in partnership with a local community group in Ambrym to improve the water supply for three villages in the region.
We communicate actively and directly within our organization and chapters, and with all our partners, both in the community and corporations. There are many others ebb organizations around the world, if you are outer the Pacific region, then another ebb might be qualified to better assist. What the role involves Project management will involve helping, supporting and managing a placement volunteer who will be based in Vanuatu along with coordinating and leading a NZ based support team of professional engineers and students. We labor with communities across New Zealand and the South Pacific to provide access to engineering knowledge and technical resources.
