Ficino helped instil an inner self belief and assurance based on sound values, good philosophy and good teachers. The Board of Trustees meets every month and is primarily responsible for the strategic and financial governance of the school and management of school assets. He has spent the last 34 years in the New Zealand IT industry, the last 18 in management roles. In New Zealand, he worked for another global consulting firm for 18 years, including as Chief Executive of New Zealand operations for five years. In 2005, Louis launched his private practice where he provides strategic investment advice to private and institutional clients.
For the last 20 years he has been consulting to boards and management on strategy, business development and product development. Anna is a past parent and highly supportive of Ficino School, and also a member of the School of Philosophy. ACSNZ is made up of schools registered to offer the University of Cambridge International Examinations. The Cambridge International Primary Programme is for students Years 1 6 and the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme for students Years 7 9. We aim to foster strong relationships between the children and parents and their class teacher, with both parents and teachers working together to help the children reach their potential.
Carolyn began her teaching career as a class teacher at Ficino School during the foundation years . She encourages the children to have confident and clear speech and goodness in morals and values, with respect for others. During ten years as a teacher aide in various primary schools, Emilie worked closely with teachers and helped to adapt the curriculum to the learning levels and needs of her students. Her vision for her students is for them to enjoy learning, work well in teams and develop self discipline and focus. She values an education where children are encouraged to reach their potential in an all round environment of physical, intellectual and spiritual learning. Ashley’s professional interests lie in P4C Philosophy for Children and Brain Based learning. Nicolette has had a long association with Ficino School, starting with the education of her 3 children and growing through her active participation with the Friends of Ficino FoF , a parent’s group responsible for successfully organising the School’s fundraising events. She was a Class Teacher at the senior end of Ficino School for a number of years

Ficino School was founded in February 1997, modelled on the highly regarded St James Independent Schools in London, with an aim to restore spiritual values, uphold traditional virtues and encourage disciplined study in primary school education. This initiative came from parents in the School of Philosophy in Auckland to meet the need for a comprehensive, formative and principled education
