As healthy as selling their export quality fruit at the market, Terry sells a huge range of jams, pickles and chutneys all made by Kathy. We headed for La Ci gale nearby but a quick look at the menu told me that it had changed since my final visit. However on my day off this week I decided it was time I tried something easy. Since the start of the fig season 3 or 4 weeks ago, stallholder Maureen has been at me to find this recipe which I used to make about 6 years ago. You can probably tell that much of the food I’m cooking these days is inspired by dishes from all over the world.
This week I’m including two vegetable dishes that can be a light meal as they are or excellent with chicken, meat or fish. It was the evening of my dreams, with so many very special people there and everything going to plan and us all having a amazing time. Bistro Menu La Ci gale French Bistro has a casual, relaxed atmosphere huge for families and friends to share a meal together.
