During her time in the US she trained at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and worked at the University of Pennsylvania. Grace has a strong interest in health, psychology, and in working with people in the community, in which she lives. She has a strong interest in understanding people’s unique needs and her practice focuses on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy CBT . She considers cultural sensitiveness and awareness part of her professional and personal life. Nadine is a registered psychologist with a background in Health Psychology, and several years’ experience in the health industry.
Her most recent role saw her working with adolescents and adult in a primary health medical centre, seeing a variety of presentations. Sarah has worked with Anxiety New Zealand in a number of roles over the last 6 years.
I originally became a member of the Board of the Anxiety New Zealand Trust in 2007 to support the trust in its clinical service and advocacy roles for people with anxiety disorders. Over the 6 years, I worked for software and architecture companies and played different roles in the IT field. The Trust will advocate for funding and support research into the determinants and treatment of anxiety disorders. I studied Drama at University, before going to Drama School to train as an actor. Experiences such as this ignited a strong passion for social change, the importance of therapeutic practices, and of meeting others in an open minded and non judgemental way.
