Our Ayurvedic treatments and beauty products are based upon the centuries old tradition of Ayurveda that leads to wellness and rejuvenation. Your experienced spa therapist will use specific therapeutic oils, herbs and aromas to provide you with optimal balance and nourishment for your mind body constitution, helping you achieve total wellbeing and feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
Ayurveda is timeless it has existed for over 500 years but yet it still applies to modern day life. In general, Ayurveda teaches that if life is lived in accordance with prakruti, or basic body mind constitution, then a natural youthfulness is maintained throughout life. According to ayurveda, health is a perfect state of balance between the body’s three fundamental energies or doshas vata,pitta, kapha and an equally vital balance among body, mind and soul or consciousness. Ayurveda teaches us that we have a constitution, our own mix of the doahas, which is our individual psychobiological makeup. Pitta types generally have sensitive skin that is prone to acne, redness and with tendency toward pigmentation. The New Zealand health industry awarded him with lifetime achievement award in recognition for pioneering and establishing Ayurvedic Medicine in New Zealand. Together Dr Ajit and his wife Rippan were inspired to re create the traditional beauty secret recipes from the 5,00 year old Vedic Scriptures and develop a skin care product range that is safe, natural and effective named Ayurda .
