Unused Jazz dance genre is executed to popular music and encompasses ballet technique, flexibility, balance, coordination and dynamic vibrant movement. Kristy has been dancing for over 20 years and has trained in New Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, Cheer leading, Tap and Competitive Aerobics. Hip Hop improves coordination, musicality, fitness and also extends self confidence as students are encouraged to perform our annual theater production. The style will enable a student to reach a professional dance standard and is the popular dance style as seen on Broadway, The West End, in musical theater, cinematic and television productions.
Trained in Auckland in Classical Ballet RAD Unused and Contemporary Dance to Advanced and Solo Seal Professional level, Marie has directed and been the principal educator in her modern dance school for twenty years. These photos have been taken from the Studio's annual productions over the final ten years and are the property of Stow Austin Studio. Encompassing the jazz style, our ladies classes are great merriment and provide the opportunity for some solemn me time in a relaxed and social dance environment. Hip hop is a fun dance style particularly suited to those students who are starting dance a trivial later and haven’t had any prior formal training.
