What you should know about Summit Psychology
My name is Hilary Mack and I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist with over ten years experience busy with children, addles cents, adults and families to assist people to get closer to their goals and overcome areas of difficulty. For more information about me and what I do, including my qualifications and clinical experience. I have a Statement of Equivalence with the British Psychological Society and have previously held registration to practice in Australia and the United Kingdom. Since moving to New Zealand, I've worked for public inpatient and outpatient kid and adolescent mental health services I now labor fulltime in private practice.
Before to moving to Fresh Zealand, I've worked as a Clinical Psychologist in Australia and in the UK. My areas of exceptional expertise include the Cognitive behavioral CB treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder CD and occupied with people who have Asperger's Syndrome who have extra difficulties with anxiety or depression. I live in central Auckland with my wife and three daughters Imogene, Zoe and Esther and with our pets Scout and Fudge. My private practice is centrally located at Room 11, 465 Mt Eden Rd, about 100 meres south of Mt Eden Village. I have recently completed training in bit, a psychological approach to the management of tics and Tourette's Syndrome.
In addition to Cognitive behavioral Therapy, I corporate Mindfulness techniques in my work as healthy as aspects of Dialectical behavior Therapy DAT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ACT and Family Based Treatment FBI for eating disorders otherwise known as the Maudsley Method. Arrive holiday time, we are keen trampers and campers and a love to head bush in either our tent our impaired beat up caravan. I am Registered with the Psychologists Board of New Zealand under the Clinical Scope of Practice as well as being a member of the Fresh Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. In my practice I work with people with a long range of difficulties ranging from worry and anxiety problems through to difficulties with depression or problems achieving relationship or career goals.
I also work with people who have eating difficulties or self harming behaviors, and assist parents to respond more effectively to child or adolescent emotional and behavioral problems. I specialism in Cognitive behavioral Therapy CB, an evidenced based approach to working through anxiety, sadness and other emotional difficulties. I've worked on research into anxiety problems in people with autism spectrum disorders and have contributed to psychology training programmed at University College London, University of East London and Auckland University of Technology
