He started off doing small jobs and helping bigger civil contractors, as Ward didn’t yet have machinery of their own. As things grew he purchased a six wheeler truck and bobcat with a breaker attached. Our haulage fleet consists of 20 truck and trailers, hook bins and articulated barrel bins, ranging in size from four wheelers to eight wheelers. We now employ over 100 people, working across the full spectrum of residential, commercial and industrial demolition, including machinery hire, resource recovery, recycling and salvage. At the heart of our organisation is a very capable and skilled group of individuals, with a genuine enthusiasm for what we do. It’s their tenacity and determination to do a good job that ensures the success of our client’s projects.

Our founder Peter Ward is the president of the NZDAA Fresh Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association, and asbestos removal is our specialty.
When Fletcher Construction redeveloped Eden Park for the 2011 Rugby World Cup, they contracted Ward Demolition to receive on the demolition of the existing south stand, within a six week time frame. Ward Demolition is committed to recycling, and were proud to bear documentation to substantiate 90. 57 recycling of all materials from the Eden Park south stand demolition. Ward Demolition have an extensive portfolio of thriving commercial, industrial and residential demolition projects. It was described as one of the worst demolition jobs in the world by international engineers.
